Meet Leandro
Leandro is from Sweden and was part of Disney’s exchange program. He worked the Norway pavilion from 2010 – 2014. He could be found at the Stave Church spinning tales of Norse mythology. He returned home for a few years to be with his family but reached out to us last year with an interest of becoming a Sherpa. “I missed the look on the children’s faces when I would tell them stories of Loki and Thor. I missed all the skratt” (Skratt is Swedish for laughter) We asked him who his favorite character was, to which he replied “I don’t wish to have a favorite. Can’t I like all of them?” While his answer sound more like he was from Switzerland than Sweden, he did eventually tell us that his favorite character is Goofy. “When I first came to Epcot Center, there was a Norwegian Goofy. He was more of a Viking. I use to laugh when parents would tell their children to give Goofy a kiss. In Swedish, ‘kiss’ means ‘urine’.”

Leandro was awesome. If you hire him, plan to spend a lot of time in Norway. He knows everything about that land. He was great with my kids. While we waited in lines, he would tell them stories and sometimes point out hidden mickeys. Definitely worth the price, especially for the child-swap.
