Meet Chaarumathi
Chaarumathi is native-born to Nepal. She is a trained nurse and her previous job placed her at Mount Everest base camps caring for the climbers and their injuries. “Frostbite is the biggest issue we see.” She told us, “But I do not think to see much of that in Florida.” Many of the climbers would watch Disney movies in their tents and invite her in. After seeing Beauty and the Beast for the first time, she was hooked. “He was like the yeti, but Belle still fell in love with him. It is magic.” She then whispered to us, “He look(ed) better as beast.” Her favorite ride was The Great Movie Ride. “I was able to see all movies I never seen. So sad it is closed.” She said her new favorite ride is Star Tours. “I get to go to space and it is different each trip. The skinny robot makes me laugh.” When asked about her name, which we butchered severely the first few times we tried to pronounce it, she replied: “Just call me Charu.” As a nurse, she also offers her services to watch children at night. “I feel like a child when I see children seeing fireworks for the first time.”

When my wife said she was going to hire a sherpa for our trip, I didn’t believe her. Then she showed me the website and I read every page. I was leery about using a person to carry our belonging but I was totally wrong. Charu was a delight. She was SO helpful with all five of our children. She sailed through the days without any problems carrying all our stuff. We invited her to our resort pool day and to a nice sit down dinner. She was with us for the entire 7 day trip and is now part of our family. I hope she is still available in 2020 when we return for our two week trip. Thank you MouseSherpa.com and Thank you Charu.
My own little princess wanted to do photos with every Disney princess at Walt Disney World. But she wanted a matching dress to go with each princess. And my little shining star gets everything she wants, but I really wasn’t sure how we would manage all those costume changes! I mean, it would mean at least half a dozen different dresses for Epcot and Magic Kingdom!
Then I found Mouse Sherpa. What a lifesaver! Our Sherpa carried all the dresses for us, on their hangers so they stayed pressed and perfect! She also carried each corresponding tiara and pair of shoes. It was wonderful! We will definitely use Mouse Sherpa again when we do something similar with the little prince we are expecting in 4 months!
This may sound weird, but keep reading. I was a little disappointed when I saw that Charu was the only Sherpa available for my family’s five day trip to Walt Disney World. I thought she might not be up to the task. Boy was I wrong. At one point she not only was carrying our bags, but she picked up my youngest (5) , and carried him too. She was amazing. Don’t let her appearance fool you. This is one book you should not judge by its cover. Loved this! Will DEFINITELY do it again! 5 stars!
